1972 Wagoneer

She Cleans Up Nice

After lots of elbow grease, Matthew got the Wag shining up nicely!

We repaired the rusty spot in the right rear fender well.  It was caused by a crack in the body behind the taillight bracket, which had been pushed in at sometime.  We dried it out, fixed the crack and the headlight bracket, and cut out the rust.  A fiberglass patch followed, which will soon be repainted.  The hard water stains to the body and windows finally gave up the fight, and the rest of the exterior was polished, waxed and buffed.  It's driving well, too, although occasionally it still shoots out a kibble from the exhaust.

Pride

Pride is what Matthew has in his Wagoneer, and well he should,  as he worked very hard to bring it to where it is right now.
Pride, too, is what his father and I have for him for what he's done.

The Wagoneer's become a show car, too.  This is from the second show
Matthew took it to.  The response to it has been very positive.
