1972 Wagoneer

June, 2010

What better thing to do during the summer but tow a car across the desert?  The Wagoneer spent its entire life as a California car.  Its new life as an Arizona car started with Matthew's Grandfather giving it to him so he would have a good off-road car as well as one to get him to and from school. It was a LOOOOOONG trip, but they made it.  These are pictures of the Wag during the first few days here.  It has the AMC 360 engine, automatic tranny. It needs a few easy things to get back on the road again - some carburetor work, a new rear main bearing seal, new hoses, belts, fluids and filters. It has a few dents from past off-road trips, and there are some worn places in the interior, but it is basically a very clean, nearly rust-free car.
